The Master's Academy Eagles will venture away from home to take on the King's Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Master's Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Jupiter Christian on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Jupiter Christian by a score of 4-3. Master's Academy's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Trey Seluk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Santos, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Seluk wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Master's Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, King's Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 5-3.

King's Academy also got a great performance from Alexander Hansen as he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Hansen a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dalton Needle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Alec Cabrera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

King's Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Master's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Master's Academy came up short against King's Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, falling 4-0. Can Master's Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
