Killeen is on an 11-game streak of home losses, Waco a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Killeen Kangaroos will take on the Waco Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Killeen ended up a good deal behind Chaparral and lost 68-53. While losing is never fun, Killeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 970th, while Chaparral is ranked 390th).
Meanwhile, Waco came up short against University on Friday and fell 51-42.
Killeen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Waco, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.
Killeen barely slipped by Waco when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 56-55. Will Killeen repeat their success, or does Waco have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
