The Ocosta Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Chief Leschi Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ocosta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
Ocosta took care of business in their home opener. They came out on top against Pe Ell by a score of 48-35.
Ocosta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Priest, who scored 13 points. Noah Prigmore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, Chief Leschi had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Oakville 51-25.
Ocosta's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Chief Leschi, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Things could have been worse for Ocosta, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 76-61 loss to Chief Leschi in their previous meeting back in January. Can Ocosta avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
