The Bordentown Scotties will head out on the road to take on the Rancocas Valley Red Devils at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Rancocas Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bordentown, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Bordentown got the win against Florence Township Memorial by a conclusive 59-39.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bordentown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ari Miller, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eunmin Choi, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Rancocas Valley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Lenape on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Rancocas Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Lenape is ranked 15th).
Bordentown's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Rancocas Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
Bordentown came up short against Rancocas Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 54-48. Can Bordentown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
