The Barrington Eagles put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 56-46 win over Narragansett. Given Barrington's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Narragansett is ranked 25th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Barrington to victory were Nick Scandura and Matt Raffa. Scandura scored 22 points, while Raffa scored 23 points. The game was Raffa's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Evan Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Barrington pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Narragansett, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barrington will face off against North Kingstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Narragansett, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland and Narragansett are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
