Even though the Linden-McKinley Panthers have not done well against the Beechcroft Cougars recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Linden-McKinley walked away with a 36-24 victory over Beechcroft. For Linden-McKinley, this counts as revenge for the 62-55 loss Beechcroft walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Linden-McKinley found their leader in underclassman Christiana Towns, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Towns has scored at least 25% of Linden-McKinley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerielys Alba, who scored 7 points.
Linden-McKinley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Beechcroft, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Linden-McKinley will head out on the road to face off against Whetstone at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beechcroft, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northland at 7:00 p.m.
