The Fayette Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the South Callaway Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fayette is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
Fayette suffered their closest defeat yet this season on January 5th. They fell just short of Westran by a score of 55-52.
Meanwhile, South Callaway's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 46-16 loss at the hands of Linn. While losing is never fun, South Callaway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Linn is ranked 166th).
Fayette's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for South Callaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Fayette took their win against South Callaway when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 71-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fayette since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
