Brenham waltzed into their contest on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the A&M Consolidated Tigers an 11-0 shutout. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Brenham's victory bumped their record up to 17-7-1. As for A&M Consolidated, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brenham is set to square off against their familiar foe Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cubs 3.6, the Bears 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, A&M Consolidated will face off against rival College Station at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
