The Mount Calvary Christian Academy Warriors took a blow against the Southside Christian Warriors on Thursday, falling 56-23. Mount Calvary Christian Academy was down 54-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Mount Calvary Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Jentzen Wade, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. Wade is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 13 or more in the last three games he's played.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Southside Christian, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Calvary Christian Academy will head out to square off against Calvary Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southside Christian, they and Liberty Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Liberty Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
