The Dodge County Indians gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They managed a 45-41 victory over Bleckley County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dodge County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Dodge County can attribute much of their success to Lyric Green, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubreeana Coney, who scored 11 points.
Dodge County's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bleckley County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Dodge County will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooks County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bleckley County, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
