Rowe-Clark has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Noble Academy Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Rowe-Clark pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 78-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hansberry. While losing is never fun, Rowe-Clark can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while Hansberry is ranked 230th).
Despite the loss, Rowe-Clark had strong showings from Arnez Jones, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds, and Marcus Fossett, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five assists. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Artez Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, The Noble Academy had to suffer through a rough 65-27 loss at the hands of Johnson. The Noble Academy has not had much luck with Johnson recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Rowe-Clark has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for The Noble Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Rowe-Clark was able to grind out a solid victory over The Noble Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 51-38. Does Rowe-Clark have another victory up their sleeve, or will The Noble Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
