The Jordan Red Jackets's 13-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Northeast by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The win was just what Jordan needed coming off of a 73-32 defeat in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Northeast still got an impressive performance from Amani Brown, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. Tavaris Tinsley Jr was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jordan's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Northeast, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Jordan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. The timing is sure in Rutland's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Jordan has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road. Northeast won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Westside is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.5 points per game.
