Several Highlanders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Betton, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan North, who scored three points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Memorial Day and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Memorial Day will be playing in front of their home fans against Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Robert Toombs Christian Academy is ranked 443rd, while Memorial Day is ranked 428th). As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Twiggs Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Twiggs Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
