After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orangewood Christian, the Geneva Knights were happy to have found some success on Monday. They snuck past First Academy with a 52-48 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Geneva also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
First Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Norflee, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Amari Smith, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Geneva now has a winning record of 3-2. As for First Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Geneva will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Halifax Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for First Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
