On Friday, The Polo Marcos faced the West Prairie/Southeastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Polo put the hurt on West Prairie/Southeastern with a sharp 40-16 victory. The result was nothing new for Polo, who have now won six matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
West Prairie/Southeastern's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Nelson, who rushed for 110 yards on only 13 carries.
Polo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for West Prairie/Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Polo is on the road again on Friday and play against Milledgeville. One thing working in Milledgeville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matches. West Prairie/Southeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
