After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christian Brothers, White Station was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the West Memphis Blue Devils with a sharp 18-3 victory. Considering the Spartans have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Nathan Barnes looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
