The Delavan Panthers won against the Brimfield Indians last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Delavan managed a 42-37 win over Brimfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Delavan.
Cooper Hansen was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Brockhouse, who scored 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Delavan now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Brimfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Delavan will head out on the road to face off against Lewistown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewistown has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. Brimfield won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Elmwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Elmwood is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
