Jordan Johnson and Severe McNeary certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson scored eight points along with three blocks, while McNeary scored eight points.
Hillcrest Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Pelahatchie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Hillcrest Christian and Parklane Academy will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th at. Parklane Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hillcrest Christian in Mississippi (Parklane Academy is ranked 17th, while Hillcrest Christian is ranked 65th). Pelahatchie will finish 2023 at home by hosting Forest at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
