Corliss can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They secured a 60-55 W over Fenger. That looming 60-55 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Corliss yet this season.
Corliss found their leader in underclassman Joshua Pegues, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pegues has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of D?Mario Sanders, who scored 12 points.
Excel Academy of South Shore played against Chicago Military Academy and lost via forfeit.
Corliss' win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Excel Academy of South Shore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Corliss took their win against Excel Academy of South Shore in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 76-54. Will Corliss repeat their success, or does Excel Academy of South Shore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
