Wes-Del won the last time they met up with Tindley, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Everything went Wes-Del's way against Tindley on Friday as they made off with a 42-13 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Wes-Del as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Wes-Del got off to a slow start in their last-week matchup, but they had no such trouble against Tindley and cruised to a 20-point first half. Meanwhile, Tindley couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 20-0 heading into the break. The offense for Wes-Del continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 22 points to put the game away.
Sophomore Eric Harlan was the offensive standout of the match for Wes-Del, as he picked up 76 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. Senior Jake Sutton was in the mix, too, providing Wes-Del with 2 touchdowns. The win bumped their record up to 1-6. The loss dropped Tindley's record to 3-4.
Next week Wes-Del take on Edinburgh at 7:00 PM. Wes-Del will be strutting in after a victory while Edinburgh will be stumbling in from a defeat. As for Tindley, they will face off against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
