The Smithfield-Selma Spartans lost against the Beddingfield Bruins back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Smithfield-Selma was beaten by Beddingfield 67-13. Smithfield-Selma has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Beddingfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sa'Naiya Coppedge out in front who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Natasha Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 steals.
Smithfield-Selma's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Beddingfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smithfield-Selma will take on Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beddingfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hunt at 5:45 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Hunt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 last Tuesday.
