Overbrook hasn't had much luck against Woodstown recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Overbrook has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Tuesday, Overbrook came up short against Schalick and fell 18-15.
Gianna Moser and Alaina Dufresne did some serious damage despite the final result: Moser went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Dufresne went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run. Natalia Silva was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Woodstown got themselves on the board against Millville on Wednesday, but Millville never followed suit. They blew past the Thunderbolts 8-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.
Not much got past Leah Clark, who gave up just two hits to keep Millville off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Karly Spears, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Wygand, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Woodstown now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Overbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
