SNOWFLAKE, Ariz. - A 43-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter didn't slow down
Snowflake (Ariz.) as it put eight more points on the scoreboard to secure its victory over Payson (Ariz.) 57-20.
After taking the lead on a
Ty Reidhead touchdown run in the first quarter, the Lobos led 36-6 at the half.
Snowflake expanded its lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored three times in the third, including once on a Reidhead touchdown run.
Reidhead and
Nik Hall ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Longhorns. Reidhead scored two touchdowns on the ground and Hall added two as well.
Reidhead played well for the Lobos in the victory. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
When the two teams played each other last season, Snowflake came away with a 43-8 victory.
The loss comes after Payson defeated Globe 67-35 last week.
Snowflake (7-1) will play a IV Section V game against Show Low next week, while Payson (4-4) will take on Blue Ridge also in a IV Section V game.
