The Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots and the Plainfield Quakers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 59-12 loss at the hands of the Quakers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Terre Haute North Vigo has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Terre Haute North Vigo struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are 1-3 when they can't control their own glass like that.
Plainfield found their leader in underclassman Hannah Menser, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Benge, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Terre Haute North Vigo has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Plainfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Terre Haute North Vigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plainfield is on the road again on Saturday and plays Pike at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in Plainfield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
