The Great Mills Hornets entered their tilt with the Bowie Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Great Mills narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bowie 45-43. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Great Mills has scored all year.
Great Mills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was DeAndre Dorsey out in front who scored nine points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Dyson, who scored ten points.
Great Mills' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Mills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Chesapeake Science Point at 6:45 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Bowie, they will take on Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Parkdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
