The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Pelham nor Coe-Brown Academy made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pythons had just enough and edged out the Bears 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pythons have posted since May 10, 2024.

Justin Bowlan was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Nick Muise, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Pelham now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pelham will venture away from home to face off against ConVal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.55 runs per game on average), something the Pythons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they will head out to take on Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
