The Williston Mighty Red Devils will challenge the Trenton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Williston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over Bronson. The Mighty Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayla Coleman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one double. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dixie Adams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Trenton put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let Chiefland get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Trenton got a massive performance out of Emaleigh Philmon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addilynn Welbers, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Trenton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.
Williston's record now sits at 12-9. As for Trenton, their record is now 20-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Williston has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Trenton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Williston suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Trenton in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Mighty Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
