It was a good run, but the Nebraska Lutheran Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 54-42 to Osceola. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Nebraska Lutheran of the 71-52 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Nebraska Lutheran's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaac Beiermann, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Lukas Worster who scored 17 points along with three steals. Beiermann's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Nebraska Lutheran struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Nebraska Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cross County the next time they take the court. Osceola will head out to face Cross County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Nebraska Lutheran will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
