The Superior Bobcats will face off against the Fort Benton Longhorns at TBD on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Superior put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They breezed by Forsyth on the road to the tune of 54-20. Winning may never get old, but Superior sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Superior got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Kovalsky out in front who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 57 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jaxson Green was another key contributor, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Fort Benton faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fort Benton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over Lone Peak on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Benton.
Superior has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Fort Benton, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2.
