Bishop Rosecrans is a perfect 7-0 against Beallsville since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Jacobie Balo put in work no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Coen Grandstaff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Beallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Tyler, falling 22-3.
Beallsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Fulton, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Fulton's first of the season. Another was Ryan Dornon, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.
Beallsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Beallsville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Bishop Rosecrans has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Beallsville, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Bishop Rosecrans keep running through batters, or will the Blue Devils buck the trend?
