Erie took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeast on Friday. Erie found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 19 to 6 on offense.
Kinzie Cleaver and Alexandra Pasquarelli certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Cleaver scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds, while Pasquarelli scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliz White, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Kinzey Cassidy, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals.
Erie's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Southeast, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Erie will head out on the road to face off against Crest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jasper at 6:00 p.m. Jasper will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
