It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hudson Cobras can now relate to. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (28-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Despite the loss, Hudson still got an impressive performance from Anthony (Aj) Mcfarlane, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Dunnellon to victory were Dylan Donahoe and Sean Martin. Donahoe rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while Martin rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Martin's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Dunnellon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Hudson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunnellon will head out on the road to face off against Cocoa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cocoa is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
