Hudson Carvalho posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He was dominant the last time he took on Mount Si back in March of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. Carvalho also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Issaquah is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

Coming up, Carvalho and Issaquah will challenge Hazen at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 against the Highlanders going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
