The Halls Red Devils lost a heartbreaker to the South-Doyle Cherokees when they met back in December of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. Halls took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of South-Doyle. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Monday (56), Halls still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Halls still got an impressive performance from Chandler Gamble, who scored 36 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Gamble's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Jake Lane was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Halls now has a losing record at 5-6. As for South-Doyle, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Halls is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Glenwood at 2:30 p.m. on December 20th. South-Doyle will be home for the holidays to greet Halls at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Halls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while South-Doyle is ranked 105th).
