Bel Air (Md.) and
Patterson Mill (Bel Air, Md.) both tightened up defensively, but Bel Air managed to score enough to pull out the 14-7 victory.
The Bobcats scored on two rushing touchdowns to pull out the win.
Patterson Mill pulled ahead on a touchdown pass by
Luke DePasquale, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-0. Bel Air scored the winning points with a touchdown run that came in the third quarter.
PM's DePasquale was the standout player for his team. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown.
Patterson Mill's lone touchdown came on a 5-yard pass in the second quarter.
The victory will ease some of the sting of BA's close 9-7 loss to PM last season.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Bobcats, which lost to Elkton last week, 20-16.
In a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna game next week Patterson Mill (1-2) takes on Perryville, and Bel Air (2-1) will go up against Fallston in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake game.
