Lake Stevens extended the longest winning streak in 4A Wesco - North this week by beating Edmonds-Woodway, 31-27. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Vikings.
Lake Stevens' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gavin Oneil threw for 283 and three touchdowns and Conner Coleman had 210 yards receiving. On the ground Austin Otis chipped in 166 yards. Ryan Simoneaux helped Lake Stevens' passing attack out by catching three balls for 36 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Bennett Gibson of Mount Vernon is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1981. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, Tom Tri's team's Otis has rushed for 746 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Coleman. The Lake Stevens star has 46 catches for 1100 yards.
Going into this week's game against Kamiak, the Bulldogs' Gibson needs 19 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
Arlington led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Mariner.
