The Potter-Dix Coyotes were the 47-43 winner over the South Platte Blue Knights when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Potter-Dix fell to South Platte 43-39.
Potter-Dix lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Kasten, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals. Kasten is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Mcconnell, who scored 11 points.
South Platte got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Conner Evans out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Evans is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Dashle Richards was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Potter-Dix has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for South Platte, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Potter-Dix will head out on the road to challenge Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Prairie is ranked 191st in Colorado, while Potter-Dix is ranked 196th in Nebraska). As for South Platte, they will square off against Garden County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Garden County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
