The Harpeth Indians will head out on the road to  challenge  the McGavock Raiders at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Harpeth is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.6  runs per game  this season.
 Last Monday, Harpeth beat Hickman County 6-1.
  Landen Perry and  Michael Matheson made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Perry   kept things locked down with   no  earned run or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Matheson   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in six consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Perry  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-3, while  Matheson  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Hayden Penrod was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Hillsboro typically has all the answers at home, but  on Tuesday McGavock proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with  a   13-9  win over the Burros. The  victory was some much needed relief for McGavock as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Harpeth is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. As for McGavock, their win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-10.
 Harpeth took their  victory against McGavock  when the teams last played  back in March by a conclusive  15-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harpeth since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
