Haskell and the Eagles are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Haskell Haymakers will head out on the road to face off against the Summit Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Haskell has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Eagles will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Friday, Haskell came up short against the Pirates and fell 42-35. Haskell has struggled against the Pirates recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They really took it to Mounds for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-26 victory at home. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Summit Christian Academy had established a 22 point advantage.
Valeria Hill was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Garnatz, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Haskell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Summit Christian Academy, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.
Haskell was taken down by the Eagles 55-28 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Haskell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
