She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Leila Pilimai was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, West Jordan scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-19 victory over Granger at home. That looming 81-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Jordan yet this season.
West Jordan relied on the efforts of Rochelle Afo Manuma, who scored 17 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds, and Giselle Muffet, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Afo Manuma posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Isabella Knight, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Kearns now has a losing record at 7-8. As for West Jordan, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Kearns have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 33.4 rebounds per game. It's a different story for West Jordan, though, as they've been averaging only 38.6 rebounds per game. Given Kearns' sizeable advantage in that area, West Jordan will need to find a way to close that gap.
