It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Laurel-Concord-Coleridge ultimately got the result they hoped for. They managed a 63-59 win over Osmond/Randolph. Given Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Osmond/Randolph is ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gibson Roberts was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kolby Hansen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wakefield came up short against Crofton on Tuesday and fell 50-37. Wakefield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Wakefield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
