The Greenforest Eagles on the road again on Monday and play against the Campbell Spartans at 9:30 a.m. on January 15th. Greenforest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Campbell likes a good challenge.
Even though Northside scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Greenforest still came out on top. Greenforest secured a 61-55 W over Northside. Given Greenforest's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Northside is ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Campbell strolled past Butler with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-35.
Greenforest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Campbell, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Greenforest came up short against Campbell when the teams last played back in November of 2019, falling 55-47. Can Greenforest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
