Lone Peak (Highland, Utah) Knights have had a great season so far, going 15-2 and winning every region IV three game match-up. The Knights have shown that they are a team filled with true superstars.
The Player of the Week from Lone Peak High School is Senior,
Macay Hunter. Macay has proved that he deserves this recognition, through many aspects of his game play.
He is batting an amazing .444 average and earning one of the top averages on the Lone Peak team this year.
Macay's season was cut short last year due to shoulder surgery, but he has fought through the pain and agony to come back this year and play the best baseball he possibly could and help his team out.
In the mean time, they are trying to take their second straight state championship. Hunter is a very versatile player. He moved from second, to third, to first and even pitcher. He can just about do it all.
Macay is also one of the most consistent players in the region, batting third for the Knights he has helped his team by getting a number of RBI's this season. He tops it off with a three run homer against a tough region opponent, the Brighton Bengals.
Macay Hunter has helped the Knights baseball team this year in many ways and will continue to do so as his most successful season continues.
