Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Las Vegas on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.
Shawn Mack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Mack was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Cayden Rodgers-Ramire: looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Grant Kelly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
The win got Liberty back to even at 1-1. As for Shadow Ridge, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
