 Despite their  defeat, Cajon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Araceli Sandoval, who  had 11  digs, was perhaps the best of all.  Kira Castille also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  kill of the season.
Meanwhile, Citrus Valley lost  3-0 to Redlands on Thursday.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14,  25-12.
 Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Cajon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
 Everything went Cajon's way against Citrus Valley when the teams last played  two weeks ago, as Cajon made off with  a  3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
