The Hammond Skyhawks can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 78-48 win over Laurence Manning Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hammond.
Despite the loss, Laurence Manning Academy saw an underclassman step up: Shane Goines scored 23 points.
Hammond has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Laurence Manning Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Hammond will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Augusta Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully the Skyhawks like a good challenge. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Trinity Collegiate is ranked 95th, while the Swampcats are ranked 117th).
