Omaha Northwest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abriya Watkins, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Watkins hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Gloria Ndachayesaba, who scored eight points.
Papillion-LaVista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rease Murtaugh out in front who scored 22 points along with five steals. Murtaugh is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last nine games she's played. Taliyah Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight steals.
Omaha Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Papillion-LaVista, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
