Atlantic will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Clarinda at 7:00 PM. Atlantic have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Atlantic have to be hurting after a devastating 20-43 defeat at the hands of Creston/Orient-Macksburg last week. The state rankings had actually given Atlantic a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Clarinda might have drawn first blood against Red Oak, but it was Red Oak who got the last laugh. Clarinda took a 21-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Red Oak.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
