The Legacy Christian Academy Knights came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-29 victory over Miami Valley HomeSchool. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Legacy Christian Academy has posted yet this season.
Legacy Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Burke out in front who scored 13 points along with six steals and five assists. Burke has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cancino, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Legacy Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Miami Valley HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Dayton Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Miami Valley HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool on February 10th.
