The Silverton Foxes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against West Albany as Silverton made off with a 49-28 victory. Fans of Silverton have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Silverton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Sullivan out in front who gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns. Sullivan is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Silverton also got help from Brody Kuenzi who showed off his sure hands for 107 receiving yards.
Despite the defeat, West Albany had strong showings from Lukas Hews, who threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, and Austin Simmons, who picked up 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Silverton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for West Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Silverton will head out on the road to face off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for West Albany, they will be playing at home against McKay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (McKay is ranked 45th, while West Albany is ranked 33rd).
